Why HDR photography?

You may have already experienced this phenomenon: pictures taken from inside your home show an interior that is too dark and windows that are too bright – usually like the picture on the left. The windows are almost white, while the inside has a general lack of brightness and clarity. Technically speaking, the interior is underexposed and the exterior is overexposed.

High Dynamic Range (HDR) photography fills these gaps. As you can see in the picture on the right, HDR makes it possible to see what is inside and outside the property at the same time. It also shows the room as it would appear if you were there. The picture on the right shows the brightness of the room and provides a clear view of the outside. HDR photography allows you to show your property in the best light possible.

How is it done?

An HDR photograph is obtained by taking a series of photos at different exposures and then layering them into one image. Once combined, the HDR photograph shows both the bright areas of the underexposed picture and the shadows of the overexposed image

The end result is a picture that looks as if it were professionally lit.
